Last night we went to see The Blind Side, the football movie with Sandra Bullock. Seriously the best movie I have seen in a long time! It was amazing. I laughed a lot, and cried even more. (I am a crier, I tear up during commercials, seriously). Even Chance confessed that he teared up a few times, but I think he even cried a little. (He says he didn't, but whatever). The movie makes me want to adopt a kid even more. I've always wanted to adopt a child, and the movie just reinforced that. If you have time to see it, do it!

Since Thanksgiving is next week (Can't wait to see everyone in Colorado!), I'm gonna list a few things I am grateful for (not necessarily in order). Here it goes:

  • My husband, and all his talents with which he has blessed our lives.
  • Our House (One of the blessings from the first one)
  • Our Puppy
  • The Gospel
  • My Testimony (this one is especially important to me because one of my blessings is having my testimony come easily for me, and I am grateful that I don't have doubts about the Church, it would make life so much harder).
  • My Parents- They are amazing. I can only pray that I can be like them with our children.
  • My siblings, including my new sister in law on the Wilson side
  • My new in-laws. I am so blessed to have married into such a loving family who has the same principles and priorities as my family.
  • Sleep, my favorite past-time (just ask Chance)
  • My education, and all the other blessing that come from living in the U.S.
  • The soldiers that protect our freedom
  • Good Books (!)
  • My health, and my husband's health
  • Doctors (To protect the one above)
  • Good food
  • Coca Cola (I'm trying to break this habit, but I don't think it will ever happen)
  • Laundry machine. If I had to hand wash all our clothes, we would never have clean clothes. Ever.
  • The internet. Even though it brings a lot of bad temptation into the world, it also brings so much good.
  • Charitable people
  • Good music
  • Holidays! I love holidays and can't wait for Christmas
  • The Atonement ( I would never get to Heaven without it! Ha!)
  • Clothes
  • Contacts (I would be blind without them!)
  • My Car
  • Movies
  • Babies
  • The Temple, so I can be sealed to my family for Eternity!
  • My trials, because even when they suck, they make me a stronger and better person.
That's all I'm gonna put down write now, even though there are a bazillion more!

Recent Stuff around the C. Krainik Household

A few weeks ago Chance took me on a few amazing dates.

He took me to a corn maze, which was so fun! He looks creepy here, especially with the red eyes.

Chance walking through the kid maze for practice before the real thing.

Me reading the directions to get out of the maze.

I realize my face looks a little funny

Yup, Chance is pretending to pee in the corn. He is handsome and classy.

Deciding which way to go

I love him :)

No caption necessary

I am considering getting one of these for our house. Just kidding babe!

Going through the 3-D maze

They had the coolest fire pit where you could roast marshmallows and listen to a guy tell scary stories!

Chance eating a fried pickle (the first fried thing I have ever seen my husband not like)

Eating my yummy grilled corn!

We also went to the museum! I told Chance to choose his favorite animal, and this is what he picked.

Watching an old school TV

Beating the war drum

:)

He is so handsome!

The circus was so fun!

We also went Go-Kart racing!

First place! Just kidding, I came in dead last, I think everyone lapped me twice. I also caused a few collisions.

Thanks babe for my dates! I have a wonderful husband. I really need to step it up for date night.

P.S. Chance got awesome coupons for all these dates so they didn't cost much at all. He is so smart :)

Today...

Spike ate poop. Yup, he eats poop.

It happened tonight when I was home alone with him (Chance was at a meeting), and I let him out to go to the bathroom. Usually he goes outside, does his business, and maybe explores a little.

Today, instead he decided to run away from me every stinking time I tried to get him in the house. He is totally defiant, and I know he knows what "Spike, get your dumb, ugly butt in here!" means. Just kidding I didn't say that, but I wanted to.

So while he was running around in the freezing cold, pitch black night, I noticed he had something in his mouth. He has never eaten poop before so I thought maybe it was one of the billion wood chips that he drags into our house on any given day. When I finally caught him and made him let go of whatever was in his mouth, I realized it was poo. He stank (stunk?) SO BAD.

So, I put him under running water and hoped it would take some of the stench away. Eventually the smell faded, but about an hour later he licked my MOUTH. I scrubbed my entire mouth for like 5 minutes. Hopefully (I really, really hope) most of the poo germs had faded by then, even so I feel gross. Chance is still hesitant to kiss me (I don't blame him).

That is pretty much the most interesting thing that has happened around here. Sad, I know.

I have a bunch of pictures to post, but my blogger thingy won't let me. Anyone know how to solve this?

I have no idea how to work blogger.

P.S. Contrary to what the last two blog posts might tell you, we totally have more interesting things going on in our life, and we definitely do not spend all our time obsessing over our dog. I promise.

Spike, NO!

This is what our new puppy hears at least 20 times a day. He loves to chew, bite, and just cause trouble. He chews on anything he can grab onto, including our hands, feet and clothing, but he is learning fast what he can and cannot chew on. He is almost potty-trained, he still has a few accidents when we don't take him out fast enough. Pretty good for only six weeks old though! He is a total cutie, and has attitude like no other. When Chance puts him in his cage, he gets angry and storms off into his room, and comes back to yip at us when we laugh at him.

It probably sounds like I am bragging about my kid or something, but don't worry. We know he isn't a child or anything close to it. But we still love him!

It finally happened! We got married!! After three months of planning and separation, the wedding finally happened on the 31st! It was the most amazing day; everything was wonderful.

It started the night before with the groom's dinner that was so fun! It was narrated by Chance's dad Greg, who did a great job.  It was so nice to be able to have a few hours with both sides of the family all together.  The Krainiks did an awesome job, and I am grateful for such amazing in-laws!

The sealing at the temple was perfect, we are so happy that we had the opportunity to be sealed by my grandfather; it made the day even more special.

The reception was awesome, (I might be a little biased), and everything turned out great! I am so grateful for all the work that my mom put into the reception, she did an amazing job! The whole day was perfect, despite any little glitches.

The honeymoon was also wonderful, Hawaii is beautiful.  I was so happy to be able to spend a week alone with Chance after all the craziness.

Well, I am now an old married lady, and I couldn't be happier! I love my husband more than anything, and I am so excited to begin our eternity together!

Pictures will come when we get them from the photographer!

Engaged!!

It's a little late, but Chance and I are engaged!!

On May 6, Chance took me to a little burger joint called Sammy's (where we went on our first date) and then drove me up to Sundance (where we went on the night we first met).

In September, my good friend Josh told me he wanted to set me up with a guy he knew. I am not a big fan of being set up, so I was reluctant to go. But Josh asked me to go with a group of people to the moonlit chairlift in Sundance, and Chance was there.

But anyway, Chance brought me up there last week and we explored the paths a little bit. We found a secluded area and sat next to a creek that was running through it. Chance told me he had a present for me and pulled out a beautiful scrapbook that his sister in law Kaitlyn had made for me (Thanks Kaitlyn!!). I took my time looking through it and on the last page it said "will you spend eternity with me?" with a plastic ring. As I was reading this, Chance got down on one knee and asked me the same question. Of course I said yes! The date is set for July 31 in the Newport Beach Temple.
I am so excited to start our life together. Chance is a wonderful man who is going to be the best father and husband. He makes me happy, and calms me down when I get too stressed (which happens quite a bit). It also helps that I love his family! They are all wonderful and so accepting (even those who I haven't met yet)!
